What a great day! So proud of our teens who stepped out of their comfort zone in so many ways today. Everyone pulled together to prepare a 20-minute set for worship this morning....Josue and Joshua on guitar, Conner on congas and Marcus on drums!? What?! The rest of us were the "choir" and did we bring it!? It was a beautiful time of worship this morning. As we began singing, some of their dance team began worshiping with us. Then, Pastor Joshua brought the word.
Pastor Mynor sharing after Joshua
After church, we went to a nearby mall to get some lunch. Then, we drove to Cayala, an outdoor, European-style mall. It was a beautiful day to be outside. We split up and spent a few hours exploring.
There was a zip line there which the boys quickly took advantage of. The girls were disappointed that we couldn't go. It's not ideal to zip line in a skirt. We're hoping to make a trip back later in the week so the girls and Pastor Joshua have a chance to do the zip line.
In spite of not being able to zip line, the girls still had a pretty awesome day too...eating our way through the plaza (crepes and gelato) and connecting with our inner child riding the carousel.
It was a nice day of sightseeing. We're excited to begin our work projects tomorrow.
Josue is doing an amazing job with translating for us! Please pray for him, as it is exhausting. He is very interested in trying to translate both Joshua and my messages on Saturday at the youth service.
Everyone continues to do great! Great spirits, feeling well, enjoying new experiences and connecting with each other making memories. Thanks for your prayers.
