Painting....and more painting...

Another great day...our first work day at the church.  It's been a long day.  I'm tired and want to go to bed, so this blog will be shorter, with pictures.  Some snapshots of the day that I hope to share more about later:

• Many of us starting our day with a run in the city
• Pastor Mynor sharing his testimony with us on how God called him to be a pastor
• Playing games with the youth while we waited for the paint supplies to arrive
• Painting...sharing the workload (not enough paint brushes for everyone, working at a slower pace--Guatemalan time, all working together
• Lunch--delicious Guatemalan food!
• More painting...waiting for the additional building materials to arrive...and they did, just 2 hours later than expected
• Coffee and cookies
• Hanging out with Mike and Lori

Tomorrow is another work day.  More painting and possibly doing something with rebar.  We thought we would be pouring concrete.  Not sure that is happening now.  You never can tell.  You just roll with it.



Thanks for your prayers.  No sicknesses.  Minor scrapes and cuts.  The teens are doing amazing!  So respectful of our hosts and the culture, even though it is challenging at times.  I'm loving getting to know these teens more!
