"Third Time's a Charm...."

We've arrived safely in Thailand!  After some crazy flight changes, we've made it!  When we arrived in Harrisburg for our flight, we found out it was delayed and we would miss our connection so they put us on another flight.  However, when we went to the desk to check in for that flight, they didn't have it in the computer AND didn't have any seats for all of us....so, like I said, third time's a charm....they booked us on Air Canada.  So, we went from Harrisburg, to Toronto, to Tokyo, to Bangkok and ended up in Bangkok 2 hours earlier than our originally scheduled flight?  I took a picture of our first plane--we could see into the cockpit!

We had to do some seat swapping on each flight so both Amy and I could be sitting with the children.  We arrived in Bangkok around 9:25 p.m. on Friday night.  We had some difficulty trying to find Kris at the airport in Bangkok, but finally connected.  We took a taxi to our Guest House in Bangkok.  Finally, getting to bed around 12:30 that night.

All in all, things are going great!   Amy and the kids are doing well.  Our first day, our plan is to acclimate to the time zone difference by trying to keep busy and keep pushing through.  After some breakfast this morning, Saturday, we went to Lynn and Amy's old apartment building in Bangkok.  The manager of the building remembered Amy and they spent some time visiting.

We went to Jatujak Market for some sightseeing and shopping.  I've already got a good start on my shopping!  While Kris and I continued shopping, Amy returned to the Guest House with the kids to try to catch a little nap.  We'll soon be going for some lunch and later today, we will be visiting some church friends.

Please continue to pray for Amy as this trip is difficult since it is her first time back in Thailand without her husband.  She has a lot of memories here with Lynn.  This is a wonderful step for her in her grief journey, but it will be difficult.

Continue to pray for health, safety and rest for all of us.  Pray that I will be open to what God has for me while I'm here.  Pray that I can minister to our awesome Thai team while I'm here!

Love you all!

(And yes...check out this last picture....they are squid eggs!)
