Sunday Funday!

Today was a really fun day.

We worshipped with the three city house churches today (in one place)--KY, HWN, and KP.  It was such a beautiful time together.  Several of the worship songs they sang were familiar to us in English so they sang in Thai and we sang in English.  It was so fun and meaningful to be able to worship together in that way.

We've been sharing a song with each house church.  Up until today, we had been singing "Joy to the World."  We've changed it up and today we sang "Go Tell it On The Mountain."  Watch out...we may end up taking it on the road!

Both Chris and Jadyn shared their testimonies, which, once again, were so powerful and meaningful to all of us, but especially to a few of the Thai church members.  Sharing testimonies is so powerful and encouraging. Krista gave the challenge today, highlighting the need for a shepherd and drawing those who are lost into the harvest.  Krista led us through a time of prayer to pray for people in our own lives (family or friends) who need to know Jesus.

We shared together in a time of communion.  It was so meaningful to share this together.  I loved that sticky rice represented Christ's body.

You know it's a good service if tears are shed.  The Spirit was moving and just drawing us closer to each other.  It's so hard to explain in words just how special the service was this morning.

We spent time praying over our Thai brothers and sisters and then left for lunch.

After lunch, many of the young adults joined us at Kris and Silk's home to play games and make Christmas cookies for their upcoming Christmas gathering.  Their home was filled with lots of laughter and the smell of delicious cookies.  Two different games going on -- Splendor board game and Dutch Blitz, followed by some crazy UNO.

At the end of the afternoon, as we were preparing to leave, many new friends were exchanging contact information...sort of.  It cracked me up when I saw what was happening...two worlds colliding...the younger generation exchanging social media info and the older generation having team photos signed. Love it!

Our team enjoyed a non-Thai meal for dinner. The salads were HUGE and delicious.  And, we got quite silly...

There was just so much love and laughter today. Like I said, it was a really fun day.
